Chinese New Year celebrations for the TAN family came a little late this year, we celebrated 1 week after the actual chinese new year HAHAH! We are so traditional sometimes -.-" ok, not to complain ;) but dad hasn't even given us our red packets :((( teehee but i think he forgot.. haha! bt it's ok I guess cos I'm truly blessed with what I have now :D
As usual, we had the traditional steam boat and some relatives around :D Mummy was SOOO stressed (like idk for what reason?!) that she just started stressing everyone else! Erjia and I were like this the whole time (refer to bottom picture). We were SOOO not motivated to help out lol! such good daughters we are ;D
However, I CAN say that I did fry the wonton sheets, grated carrots & cucumbers and.. yes.. haha! Here are some pictures :D

YOUTH BBQso, recently before school started for high schoolers, the youth group had a little get together with those who were in melbourne... we met up at Jells park for a dinner bbq from 5:45- 8:30pm :D IT WAS AWESOME! Sigh, I really love these kids.. like we've been with each other for years! we always see each other at least once a week (at church or youth group when that was happening). I remember the days we'd play four square (???) after church right infront of the church entrance, celebrate each other's bday parties with a 'surprise' safeway/coles chocolate mud cake, jam together at youth group, wild youth camps and the likes. sigh :) those were the days. Now, those in my batch have graduated to uni and a new generation of youths are rising! haha isn't that just awesome? Here are some pics of our bbq day :D
we had to go to the other side of the area we were in to bbq just cos some asians didn't wanna SHARE! GRRRH ;D hehe

SUNDAY LUNCH
I don't know why we started this 'unaffordable' tradition but after every church service a couple of friends would head to glen or the closest suburb for lunch. Last sunday Hannah & I had lunch with Tiff & Gen at Ajisen ramen in Glen. The food was surprisingly average-priced. I thought it would be super expensive like $15-$18/bowl of ramen, but the prices were around $10-$12/bowl. So, I was happy :D! However, the service there is not that great. They seemed really hostile and would stare at us to hurry up order/finish our food. It's like once we're done eating they try to stare at us to get out of the restaurant -.-" Seriously, going to a restaurant isn't all about food, it's about the whole experience of catching up with friends, laughing, etc. So leave us ALONE! The quality of food was really good! Tasty and yum :)
