INTENSE!!
Woke up today with an urge to exercise. Cos I knew there was a boxing class happening at Goodlife (where I gym) I texted Nick[face] to join in the class cos I didn't wanna go alone. Yes, I'm shy like that.
I texted him and he was like 'Hey! that sounds like it would be really fun! But I don't think I could make it, I'm kinda still in bed :S hahaha let me know sooner next time! and I should be able to come :)'
but I was like 'nyawwwhhh come anyways! I just came out of bed as wells!!!!!!... and u live so close to goodlife! I gotta drive there -.-" '
his awesome reply was 'But I'm so comfy! :( hahaha ok fine laaaaaaahhhh hahahah ok..'
So, Nick brought a 3 day pass for Hannah and we met him at the goodlife entrance and proceeded to the boxing room. LOL! my first reaction was "What is this sh**!!" because we saw a group of people warming up in a really super pose!
It was pretty much like this but their legs were moving back and forth.
There was a room of them doing the warm-up which made everything look even more scarier! My thoughts were 'Are we really in the right class? Maybe they have different levels of classes??? This is crazy!'
Anyway, we three took our boxing gloves and found our positions near a boxing bag. There was this asian girl who was super good at the punches/jabs/whatever. She was between Hannah and I.. we pretty much just copied whatever she did. HAHAHA
The workout was really intense! After a series of punches, the trainer would get us to drop for pushups and we'd repeat that a couple of times. Then she would make us get out of the room and run around the basketball courts in the gym, this happened like... 4 times today? haha! ONE exercise she made us do was to positon our back against the wall in a sitting position while lifting a set of dumbells forwards. ZOMG!!! that was intense! My whole body was shaking! We did some ab exercises one of which was lie in a sit-up position with dumbells in our hands. Then we'd proceed to do sit ups with the dumbells and punch the air with the dumbells in our hands -.-""" INTENSE! But so worth it hahah :D ! I really love these kinda work out cos it's like I'm actually doing some exercise.
I think Nick, Hannah and I came out of the gym really dead but also inspired to keep healthy and fit :D!

There is a greater purpose to "normal" events that happen in life. I feel that if I do not change, the life lived would be gone to waste. This is what I am going to do.

What's been happening// Op-shopping
The Australian Open is happening now!! WOOHOO! Tennis season babehhyyy! The other day, Erjia and I went to watch the first-round at Rod Laver with some friends :) Lleyton and Serina Williams were playing. As usual, Lleyton's game was SUPER long! and unfortunately.. the person we were rooting for lost :( Stebe~ Stebe~ Stebe~
it was such a hot day -.-"
Kim-Anh's kinda birthday celebration also happened! We met up for din dins at Grill'd in Knox. We had this meal deal where we paid $22 for a burger from Grill'd and a movie ticket at Village :D YAY!! double kil.. haha kinda.. because we wanted to make full use of the deal Nick, Kim-anh and I chose the most expensive burger available LOL! such asians we are ;D Jess got a veggie burger which looked equally sumptuous.. hmmm maybe I should try it out next time.. We
After some catching up, we went for the 8:30pm Sherlock Holmes movie. It was relatively good. lol! I don't know why.. but I don't seem to really enjoy movies as I used to do when I was younger. lol! I'm not hating on Sherlock holmes.. but I guess the experience wasn't as great as I thought it would be. Hmm I wonder why...
Chinese New Year is here!! Tbh, I'm not as excited as I thought I might have been. haha! Maybe cos it's not as festive over here compared to Asia.. so... idk. doesn't feel like a different day :S BUT!!! yesterday night, the Clayton lifegroup had a little CNY celebration :) People were meant to meet at 6pm. By the time I arrived (around 6:08pm) people were still cooking.. so a few of us moved between watching the Aussie open to grinding peanuts and stuff. lol!
After dinner and some yi sang throwing, we gathered at the living room to play mahjong and watch Federer kick Tomic's arse! I was rooting for Federer but by the 2nd set, I kinda felt sorry for Tomic :( He was getting trashed! Anyway, I won't be surprised if he comes up stronger next year :) Altogether it was a wonderful gathering of friends. Definitely a great experience. Here are some blurry pictures of the night.
Kim-anh and I went op shopping today cos there was a 50% off blue tags in all salvo shops. YAAAY! Altogether, we went to 4 op shops.
The first shop was the 'Opportunity Shop' in Scoresby Village. I got a couple pieces of fabrics for an upcoming DIY project :D --> CANNOT WAIT!
The second shop was salvos on High Street Road. Unfortunately we didn't find anything interesting there :(
The third shop (which would be my fav) was salvos on Studfield, Stud Road. It was amazing because there was air conditioning! Just saying.. the weather was pretty harsh today and the other shops did not have air-con.. it was like 34 degrees celcius outside -.-" and SUPER SUNNY. I got a couple of earrings from this shop..
Here are some pics :)
sigh finally found my babes :) Have been searching for these kindas for a while.
$ 2.99vintage clip ons
$2.99 shell earrings
At the same salvos store Kim-anh and I over heard there's a larger salvos in stud park, rowville. haha, so we headed over there and found some pretty AMAZING stuff :) lol! We're such shopping addicts... but! I have to say.. we shop on a very low budget, so I guess it's not very detrimental to our welfare like all addictions haha ;D
Fourth store at Studfield, Rowville Kim-anh and I found a couple of pretty good stuff.. but we hesitated to get all of thems cos 1) some items we did not need 2) we had to keep to our budget.
our buys :)
So.. I came out of that store with some fabrics for my DIY project, a pair of clip on earrings and a SUPER AWESOME LONG CARDIGAN! Kim-anh disapproves of the cardi :( but i love it! hahah! I'll have to admit it is big on me.. but I believe I can pull it off haha :)! can't wait for an event to happen in the autumn night so I can wear it out! YAYYY

Market Research// baking day
Market research??
People often ask me what my job is. My hesitant response would be 'I'm a market research interviewer..' Then they would ask 'what is a market research interviewer..?' My reply: 'I call up people to do surveys on behalf of some companies..' Their response: 'OHH, so you're a telemarketer?'
Ok, I'm fine that people associate my work with telemarketers, I guess it's quite similar because both market research and telemarketing involves using the phone and talking to people. I also understand why people do not like gettings calls to buy something or in my case answer a few questions; it's just annoying. FINE I GET IT. But what I do not understand is why some people would just keep going and going on about how telemarketing is such a pain and how market research is the absolute same with telemarketing.
E.g. (a conversation I had yesterday)
Okay, It's not like I absolutely LOOVE my job, it's a job! If I had a choice to work somewhere else, I'd definitely GRAB that opportunity. That's why I don't get it why people get really defensive when they discuss MY JOB. If they have a problem with the way my work is carried out, write a complaint or put your name on the government list thing where you won't get these kinda calls! Do something about it! Why do I have to listen tohow sucky my jobs is or how similar it is to selling stuff on the phone. I already KNOW my job is sucky but because it is A JOB, I have to be positive about whatever I do. Having third parties try to debate on what my job "actually" is does not benefit anything. Just shut up for goodness sake.
Let's bake NOW!
I think baking (for me) is a little therapeutic :) If I'm bored and feel like I'm going crazy, I'd bake. If I'm sad and going crazy, I'd bake.
Kim-anh and Nick came over yesterday to bake :D
We made peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies. Took us 3+ hours to mix, place and bake the cookies. Altogether, we made about 130 cookies. Here are some pictures.
after baking, we had dinner together :)

person: Telemarketing is the same as market research
me: Nah, I don't think so because market research we're not selling anything.
person: No, you are. You're selling/buying opinions.
person 2: Yeah! See she doesn't know (scoffs)
me: Well.. we're not selling a product and if they do not want to do the survey, they can just refuse.
